About
I am a software engineer based in the United Kingdom. I have built and operated production systems for over a decade, and I publish open-source work and small applications under the name Anaxo. My code is on GitHub.
Alongside engineering work I run short, independent pieces of research into how organisations buy and deliver technical services.
Current research: sourcing of resilience and recovery verification
I am looking at how organisations that operate cloud services under government security authorisations decide who may perform resilience, incident-response and recovery verification work, and whether a supplier's nationality or location is a factor in that decision.
If you have received an email from me, it is part of this research. There is nothing for sale and no follow-up pitch. A one-line reply is all I am asking for, and I will share a summary of what I learn with anyone who takes part and would like it.
How replies are handled:
- Individual responses are never published, quoted by name, or shared with anyone.
- Findings are reported only in aggregate, without identifying organisations.
- If you would rather not hear from me again, reply with "no thanks" and you will not.
- Replies are kept only for the duration of the study and then deleted.
